New or used? I've gotten used ECM's from E-Bay or Webforums For Sale sections. If you want new I think you can get remanufactured ECM's but not sure where. I'd definately try the parts stores (Checkers, Napa, etc) before the dealer. The ECM you need for a 92Z28 is a 730 ECM for Speed Density TPI.

Hope the link works...

...might have to punch in your zip somewhere but click on the link "see availability in a store near you". Looks like couple of the Checkers supposed to have them.

Also, you can order/pay for it on-line and specify which store you want to pick it up at. Or just print out the pertinent info and show up at their doorstep. Just be forewarned that even though you did all the research for them, sometimes they still can't find sh*t. Oh...might as well say last one I picked up on Ebay was about $65+ shipping, so the Checkers price might not be that bad and you might get a discount if you work for my Uncle, too! stew

By the way,if parts america does show they have it,call the store first because parts america shows what the inventory should be and alot of times they are showing whats coming in the following weeks shipment.Checkers will match parts america if it is instore and you bring in the printed screen of the part.

Just about all the replacement ECMs for 3rd Gen cars are "remanufactured". I don't belive there are new ones out there, same for the Dealers.

Think of it as a research project. Here's the fusible links.
