I just heard that this morning. Does that mean that's it? Nothing more to do about it at all?

It means the tax bills are dead. It does not mean that the facility will not be built. stay tuned for more as it unfolds.

If you believe condemnation is the answer, then you are welcome to support that. I do not believe the public should pay for our place to play.

Any updates regarding when or if Oahu might have a place to race cars again?

Ed, no matter who succeeds in getting the motorsports community a place to race, we are AT LEAST 1 year away from any racing. (Thats a very optimistic estimate)

AcK! That's pretty ugly... Are there any elected officials that should bear responsibility for this lack of foresight?

Yeah... all of them...

Rep Jerry Chang (Hilo) was the bills sponsor, but the house decided to avoid any and all possible "conflicts of interest" (J Chang was part owner of a parcel DHHL expressed interest in) Though the House and Senate have no such "conflict clauses".. go figure.

As usual, our politicians are simply covering their asses without concern for the general (or not-so-general) public.
