Thanks for responding but a camaro hood won't fit on a firebird. Flip up headlights and all.

I've still got the stock hood from my 89 Formula. Only problem might be shipping costs - I'm in Vermont!

Where are you located? There is a firebird with a cowl hood at Schoffield Barracks that I think is getting sent to the junkyard...this is Hawaii...

Hello Ed, I live in Hawaii on Oahu. Can you please let me know on the status of that car. If it goes into the yard I need to check it out. Thanks.

Sure thing, I was thinking of rolling out there and seeing what they got. The story is a guy I know won the bid for it at an abandoned vehicle auction, but didn't have the $$$ to pay. Sometimes it goes to next in line, but eventually if no one gets it they'll move it to the junk yard. All I know is it was a 3rd gen firebird with a carbed V-8 and a fiberglass cowl hood.

Are you military? Roll out there and look around...or I can pick ya up and we can peep it out together. Always good to meet f-body people LOL!

Also might want to see if this one is still for sale, he was trying to sell it forever...pull the hood and part the rest. I almost bought it, but am still getting set up with a house and all and had no place to put it.

FAST 5 Speed V-8 TBI FIREBIRD 1988
Or here is another one...
1984 FIREBIRD

I was out there yesterday, looking for a foxbody 5.0 for a buddy that blew his [probably trying to keep up with one of you guys fine-looking Camaros!]. The cowl-hood Firebird was still on the auction side of the yard, dunno when it may go in to be gang-raped.

Dude - The Firebird cowl-hood is now on the Schofield Barracks parts side of the yard, I saw it there Friday. It looks like a Harwood, it's in good condition and has the corner cutouts for the flip-up headlights. Go the the Army MWR website for more info about the yard hours, etc. If you need, I can escort you in.

Yep, I was there saturday, it was still there. I took the passenger glove box flap thing for $5. Hood looked good, I only looked quick, but it seemed like it was not a hinged style? $75 is a deal though! I didn't grab it because I knew you wanted one, but if you guys don't pick it up I will for mine.

Hours are wed-sun noon to four. No open toed shoes allowed. Hood is loose, no tools needed.

Is the car a TransAm or firebird? What color was the interior?
