Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

Yeah, plate lunches & hanging out sounds like a good idea. And I actually don't mind the 4th gen guys hanging out either. I hope to be working on LS1's in the near future so it would be cool to check them out!

This weekend is no good for me though....what weekend is everyone planning on for this?

Well, now who is willing to host a 3rd Gen BBQ? Someone with a yard where we can park our rides, pop the hoods and talk shop while the hot dogs are smoking!

Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

Thought I'd throw this out to see if anyone is interested ... The downtown condo I'm staying at on 1630 Liholiho st, has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, BBQs, wet bar, pool and ping-pong tables. It also has plenty of guest parking in the upstairs garage.

Wouldn't exactly be a "pop-the-hood" type gathering, but we could get drunk, burn some hot dogs, fall in the pool and spin around in the jacuzzi.

Anyone up for a BYOB potluck?

The next couple of weeks won't work for me, but after that, anytime's OK.

Well, that's OK. I think once a date is set some others will join in. I'll see what's coming up next month and pick a Saturday early afternoon for a pot-luck get together.

Will they be able to pass the Standard Third-Gen Worship Test?

You know, running a gauntlet of frenzied ThirdGenners whipping away at them with antennas?, showing their courage by changing spark plugs from the top side of the engine compartment?, and replacing a heater core in 10 minutes or less?

Sure thing, passing those everyday Thirdgenner tasks and a few cans of beer will be just fine!

Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

You guys are crazy ... no wait .... I'm crazy ... yeah .... anyway, I'm down for a BBQ but it looks like we are having problems with a schedule. Here are the upcoming HICN (hawaii independent cruise nights) they usually start around 4-5pm

September 6th - Walmart Pearl City

September 13th - Breaker's in Haleiwa

September 27th - Home Depot Kapolei

I say we should pick one of these days, have a thirdgen/forthgen BBQ around noon or late afternoon, then roll to the cruise as a group of camaros. The 6th is tomorrow... too short notice. So its gonna have to be either the 13th or the 27th. You guys post back when you are free. I got lots of thirdgen owners in my phone, I'll let em know. I'm gonna be rolling in my 84 camaroku (car in sig). Aurite!

The 1992 has some back tax and needs a little work. I'm not going to pay for it and pick it up until later this month though.

Wal-Mart got canned because of an idiot in a black third-gen camaro with white stripes. Hit the line-lock and roasted them off...he did the same at the last Kapolei in August. Looks like no where to cruise for a while.

Holy crap dude, I think you've got my old car. It was a nice Black 92z28. Plate was GGJ 148- or something like that. I sold it after some dude in a BMW backed into the front fender @ ala moana. Did you ever get the ODO working? It stopped working for me back in 99'.

Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

not to sure if kapolei location is still on

i know for a fact the oct 11 walmart pearl city one is still a GO but now they are more strict and will have a 1 dollar entry fee to cover insurance and security since people cant control them selves.

to bad it falls on a bad night i have plans booked already.

just plan a weekend saturday or sunday and try and see who makes it out

pretty much pick a central location to meet and greet and eat

Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

Which club are you talking about? This is a third gen site...Camaroz28.com is a great LT1 resource.

I normally hang out on www.paradiscruisers.com, they welcome all domestic muscle.
The Hawaii 4th gen guys are at: http://www.phfba.net/, but they kinda welcome 3rd gens too.

On the 11th of October paradisecruisers are meeting at the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange lot about 4:30 pm to cruise out to the Wal-Mart cruise. I'll be in the G-body, but that's close to a F-body

All cars are welcome at the cruise, lets meet up there!

Re: Pot Luck BBQ?!?!?!

i be going out to the pearl city walmart cruise night

you will need to enter from the back entrance near the garden section.take the right turn at the intersection after the main one near wendys and panda express.stay on that road till it takes u around to walmart and board of water supply.

thats what am thinking there going do since ive heard they will be more of a Secured type cruise night to prevent people from burning out as they leave and crowd control. also a DOLLAR fee is apply to this event to pay for insurance and security from what i read as well

its great have these events so i hope people dont spoil it!

theres a event going on in Hawaii kai as well the same night so the crowd will probably be split between the 2 locations.

but since i finish work at 5 and pearl city closer to me i be at walmart

lmk who else will be there
