pusher fuel pump

pusher fuel pump

Hi I have 1987 sport coupe 305 lg4 with quick fuel carb the problem i is if i start the every couple of days its fires up first time if i leave for a couple of weeks it hard to start fuel is gone in the float bowl need to crank to bring fuel back up the carb. I heard some had pusher pump in the tank? any ideas thanks Gordon

I don't have the specific answer to you problem, but I wonder if there is a check valve that could be installed in the fuel line that could help with this.
But no matter what, some fuel is going to evaporate in 2 week's time.
Any fuel left in my lawnmower is gone the next week, and that tank is sealed, but of course the cap has a small vent.
