I'm looking to buy a set of stock Lb9 heads that will work in my '91 Trans Am. I want to port them. If you have ported Lb9 heads for sale that will be good too.

Next on my list is gears, I need 3.42 or 3.73 posi gears. Let me know.

And finally Headers. If anyone has some Hooker 2055's and the Y-pipe let me know.

Please give me your prices + shipping. I live in Phx/metro 85210.

Thanks, Kevin

Gears and Posi
I have a set of OE GM gears and a OE Alburn posi unit. The gears are 3.45 from a 10 bolt saginaw rear end. I would like to get 200.00 shipped for everything but will listen to offers. The gears have about 30 to 40K on them.

Thanks - JohnK

Will they fit in a stock '91 posi rear end?

Posi and Gears
How many bolts are in the cover? 10 is the right answer. What gear does it have now?

I have a set of L69 heads that are in very good contition that will work for you. All that would need to be done is to oval the 2 center intake bolt holes to bolt on the L69 heads. I would like to get $60 for the pair. I am in Glendale AZ.

Yeah I have a 10-bolt 2.73 posi. Do you have pics?

84L69TA, how hard would that be to port? Can you or someone you know do it? I would rather have something I can port at home, just to clean them up a bit. I'm planning on an Lt1 intake swap soon. And I'd like to install both at the same time. But I don't want to get myself in over my head with fabrication problems you know. But the price is great, let me know.

I can do it for you. I did this on my old 89 GTA. I had a ZZ4 crate motor under the TPI and I modified the holes myself. It is very easy to do and very little material needs to be removed. If you search around on this site, youll find it is very easy to do. Anyway, let me know if youre still interested in them.

I've been reading and it sounds ok, they are the 416 heads right? Also they said that on a LB9 they will raise the compression, will this cause problems? Will it raise hp just from the compression boost?

I am really interested.

Both the LB9 heads and the L69 heads (416) share a 58cc chamber. It will not affect compression at all. Anyway, gimme a call so we can discuss them in a little more detail. My number is 623-340-5395. Joe

Since you're putting an LT1 intake on the car, you won't need to modify anything that you currently have. Just have the LT1 intake drilled for pre-87 heads instead of 87-up heads.

I'm sorry but I won't be able to buy the heads. Something just came up this weekend that I have overlooked far to long.
