After further investigation it appears that I have a new style where someone made thier own cutouts which look OK when switches are installed. I also have an Old Style without the Power Mirror Switch cutout. Here are pictures of both.

This 89 GTA is for our son. It is his first car and my first experience w/ Firebird/Trans Am or Camaros of any type. So I have no idea what you mean by new style or old style. Please be patient w/ my ignorance of thes cars.

Dear Karl,
They both are the same size. The difference is in the shifter indicator. The New Style has the Gray Outter Frame and an orange indicator on what gear you are in. The Old Style has Black Outter Frame without any indicator of what gear you are in. The 89' is probably the New Style however you can use either one.

hey, Im just wondering if there are any other parts you would need for the car. I have a whole 91 im parting out and i believe i have the driver side GTA tail light off a 89 if yours needs replacing. Let us know how the car turns out.
