remote rear hatch - Entire pull down unit
3. Also you'll need a relay. The same relay is used for a horn relay on some GM cars also. The GM part number is 25523703.
4. Locate and obtain a hatch release solenoid. Currently your car will have a small latch with a cable running to the lock cylinder. You'll need to get the solenoid from GM with a cable to that lock that will replace that assembly. My local Pontiac dealer was unable to find a part meeting that description for 91 so we looked under 87 Camaro as my Iroc used a system that was a direct interchange.

/edit: Turns out I need the entire pull down unit, so if you have that, let me know.

You have a 92. There is no remote release for the 91.5-92 cars. You will need to get an entire pull-down unit. The solenoid you list will not work. I ordered one for mine, only to realize it will only work on 87-91.5 units.
If you don't want to believe me, I'll sell you the solenoid for what I paid for it, $20 shipped.

Of course I'll believe you
I was just going by the tech article on the main page which said 90-92. So Im looking for the entire pull down unit huh? Will I need that sensor that goes next to the latch for the hatch (that im guessing senses where the hatch is) or just the motor itself. Will I still need the relay?

Rear Remote Hatch
I have a remote rear hatch off of my 86 TA. The '86 model TA's had the 3rd brake light mounted on the rear hatch glass also. '87+up had the 3rd brake light mounted under the rear spoiler or wing. This hatch that I have, had a rear wing. I am located 25 miles west of Chicago and the hatch is $30 for pick up only,

Im actually not looking for the hatch, but the entire pull down unit, as it turns out. Thanks though.

The pull down unit will replace the standard slam latch you have now. Everything for it is built onto it including the latch sensor.
The relay for running it is different then the one listed too. It and the wiring is a little funky, but if you get everything it should swap over easily. The pulldown, relay, and ire should come out without needing to cut everything.
Of course then you would still need the relay/switch listed to 'trigger' the remote release, unless you were hooking straight into an alarm trigger.

I got two switches from the junkyard, so Im set there, I just need the relay.
edit: I was looking on TDS, and all they have is the reversing switch and the striking sensor, but no relay. Any idea where to pick one of those up from?
edit2: It is true that my car is prewired, right? I hooked up the hatch release switch to its wiring found inside the dash, so I assume its all there. Just wondering what your refering to when you say "It and the wiring is a little funky".

OK ----> Here I go !!
I don't think I can help much,........ I can help just a little.
First; I do NOT have the power pull down hatch motor you are looking for.
Second; I just looked at the wiring inside my 92 RS and Yes,.... your car IS completely pre-wired for installing a hatch release system. The Black Wire & plug for the solenoid is located right next to the pull down motor, the 2 wires for the hatch switch & the plug for the relay is located inside the center console. DON'T worry about the wiring being a "little funky"...... It's plug and play when it comes to the button and relay.
Third; The hatch release relay appears to be the same for all the 82-92 F-bodys. It's a simple 3 pin relay and I must have a dozen of them !!! go back to your local junk yard and find ANY camaro that has/had a hatch button on the console and dig the relay out of it. Look for a car with the console ripped out already to make things easier for you ! You might even be able to find on of these things at AutoZone or Pepboys. The part number stamped on top of the one in my hand right now is: 329820
The Hatch motor I got from the 92 did NOT have the hatch "release" option. It was just the hatch pull down motor. I looked at a simple hatch release solenoid that I pulled from an earlier F-Body to see if the solenoid would install on the hatch pull down motor - but it will not. It *Might* be possible but you would loose the ability to open the hatch with your key. (not a good idea ! )
When I read your last message before I posted I saw that you needed a pull down motor and didn't realize that you needed a motor WITH the release solenoid !!!
