i need a 89 deck lid!!!!
i am gonna make this simple , i need a 1998 deck lid ,
i bought one off of here before winter came and when i got it i could tell it was not the right type i needed , after fig out he sent me a 92 rs deck lid which i had to force closed to get it to shot and lock
so basicly i need a 89's deck lid for camaro pulldown engine , 3rd break likght (does not have to have the break lite in it but would pref it)
i dont have much cash to spend , any one got one with no rot! , surfest rust is ok but i would pref a nice one none rusted
the one i got and will be selling on here is perfect no rust dings and minor scratches and is white RS 92

well 2 garages said this aint the right part for it to lock down , i can forcfuly lock it buy that aint good
plus mines got the 3rd break light in the fin and i kinda liked it (also the bolt holes dont even match up with the old find to take the spoiler off and mount it to to the 92's)

that is strange because i mounted a 89 hatch on my 91 and a 83 hatch on my 85 and a 84 hatch on my 88....I think it is not lined up right...
good luck with it

I have done the same, I have put an 82 onto a 90, 92 onto a 87. How every told you that you have to have the same year does not know a thing about f-body

There is a difference on the Receiver Plate for the Pulldown Unit on some of the 91' - 92'. Some had a Brown Composite Pulldown and most had the Standard Metal Two Track Type. If they had the Brown Composite Type that receiver will not work with your Standard Metal Two Track Pulldown. Also if you do not want to drill new mounting holes for your spoiler you will need one from a 87' to 89' Camaro with the Larger Spoiler with Third Brake Light. Good Luck in your search!!
