T56 torque arm mount

I've been searching around for a T56 torque arm mount everywhere and can't seem to find one. Has anyone bought one anywhere before?

Re: T56 torque arm mount

try ls1tech most of us just run a off trans mounted torque arm since your upgrading your car for performance so no need for it

Re: T56 torque arm mount

T56 torque arm mount is the same as the T5 mount. Get an 84+ Manual transmission torque arm mount for an F-body and you will be fine.

I would avoid crossmember mounted torque arms. They have been known to rip apart the frame rails where the crossmember attaches, especially with 4th gen transmissions since the transmission mount is 2 inches farther back - it puts even more torque against the mounting holes on the frame rails than a thirdgen trans does.

I would spend the $15 on ebay for the T5 mount or build a custom standalone crossmember for the torque arm mount.

wow never saw that yet.. im glad I made my own mount and mounting points.. never was a fan of the off set mounts you get from vendors. I will say though Ive seen several tail housing failures and TQ arm failures from using the stocker and stickies

Re: T56 torque arm mount

Thanks for the info. As of now, I have the Hawks conversion crossmember and the T5 torque arm mount that was originally on my car before the swap.
