thinking about getting a jet piggy back performance chip stage 2. are these worth it or is it a scam

They are ok if you are stock. They just alter the spark tables a little bit and turn on fans earlier. Might feel a little difference.

for what little they do, there's better things to spend your money on, especially if the car is otherwise stock

i looked at pcmforless.com and the oldest they would tune is for an '86 and mine is an '84. could i still send it in or what?

Check with tpichips.com. Its always best to send in your own datalog from a program like TTS Datamaster. That way the chip burner knows exactly how your car is performing and what to adjust.

it looks like the chip burning is for tpi and tbi cars and my '84 camaro is a carb. might be wrong but from the websites i understand that it is for non carb cars
