Turbocharging questions
I'm trying to get some info on Turbocharching a 350. I plan to change to a lower compression, and run forged internals. I have a friend that has a t-3 out of an old benz. but i need two, so is it possible to use different brand t-3's?? Also does anyone know of and premade kits with all the piping? And 1 last question, what kind of tranny can handle 500+ torque???

Make sure that the T3's are the same. Check the numbers on the housings and make sure they are the same. If you use two different sizes then weird things can happen. A well built 700 would take probably take 500 ft-lbs, if not a TH-350 or TH-400 would work.
I will be going with a beefed up T56 for my project. A few other guys are running T56's as well. When you choose turbo's you really need to make sure they'll work well with the displacement of the engine. I guess the T3's should work, but I dont know how good they will work. My Mustang SVO has a T3 and its a 2.3ltr inline 4 cyl. Maybe two of them will compensate for the difference in displacement, but I would recommend bigger turbo's. For my project I plan to run a single T76. There aren't any pre-made kits out yet but supposedly there are some in the works. Right now people are just either making custom manifolds or finding old Gale Banks turbo headers and doing the piping themselves. Good luck with the project!!

I love the T56 but it can be hard to build off the line boost without an automatic to load against though. It is a good thing the T56's we have to use (from LT1 cars) were mostly made before Tremec (TTC) bought them and moved to Mexico because there sure seems to be alot of trouble with the ones in the LS1 cars built since then. Even people who granny shift and dont beat there cars (like senior citizens) are having problems.
