Zex Nitrous
Zex Nitrous
Zex makes an LT1 kit, and if i remember correctly, don't lt1s and TPI's use the same throttle boddies?? is there any reason why an LT1 kit would not work on a TPI? What about Zex's universal EFI kit?

LT1 and TPI throttle bodies are similar not same. to some extent a cobra mustang throttle body is also similar as seen in this stock58mm below.
I have the Zex kit and it will work fine. The system uses a fogger nozzle that sits in front of the throttle body. The only difference between the universal kit and the LT1 kit is that the LT1 kit comes with an in line fuel pump and bigger jets. As with all nitrous I would make sure you fuel and ignition are up to snuff. I have a Walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump (you can get the LT1 kit with the inline pump but from what I hear they are very loud and you can just order the bigger jets for about $3) and 24# SVO injectors and a Crane coil and Accel ICM and a heat range colder plugs witch is fine for the 55hp and 75hp jets but I am going to install a ignition box with retard and a window switch (they say you don't need one but that is because they don't sell one, the system is activated by a WOT switch and you can be at WOT at any RPM and you don't want to use it until 3K or so) before going to the 125hp shot.
Let me say this again because of the way the Zex kit provides enrichment (by using nitrous pressure to push the fuel pressure regulator bladder) you MUSH have you fuel system in order before using this kit. They call it a safe nitrous system witch it can be but only if you plan for it.
