Supercharger or complete engine work?

What would be better addding a supercharger or getting new heads, camshaft, 1.6rr, and complete porting of intake?

I will have to pay to have it installed as I am not nearly comfortable doing this kind of work.

I figured the engine work with parts would run me around $2,700 and net me around 75-80hp.

The supercharger would be at least $2,500 plus install, how much would install be? What do you think it will give me, 125hp?

What route do you think would be better? If the supercharger is the better bang for the buck, is it not as safe, more likely to break down etc...

Thanks for any help!

Also, would my stock WS6 rear end be able to handle either? I wish I could get both, that would be awesome, but alot of money.

Try around 3 grand+ for a supercharger kit plus the 8-10 hours it will take to hook it up.

Scroll down to the GM F-body cars, its the very first listing for our cars. It doesn't say they make one for TBI V8's, but i bet it would work just the same but with less HP and Torque gains than the TPI.

Vortech wants $3,374.95 for that setup

Good luck..

About the back end, I know I was told never to attempt to go over 130mph with my RS' back end because the bitch would rip off... If you drop that much cash on that crap, might as well go get an IROC back end for it to be safe. I don't know of the GTA's have the same back end as the IROC's do..
