actually a further investigation reveals that I jumped the gun on the ID. It does not appear to be a LS1 I recognise the end of the cylinder heads but I couldnt tell you from where.

I would have guessed LS-1 also since that is what the Utes come with.
Cole-Trickle-Is that an LS-1 based engine. THe valve covers almost look like a small Ford.

all of the LS1 head picture I could find are smooth on the ends not with the two protrusions. like on the tight side of the picture.
