how to modify tensioner to pull other direction on serpintine--help Jester

Well i finaly got my turbos for my iroc and started the twin t-bird turbo setup. I need to pull the tensioner apart and reverse its pull just like jester did. How can i take it apart and modify it so it pulls oppisite? I would like to do it in the car so i don't have to pull off the bracket. I don't want to just wing this I will end up with a hole in my fiberglass hood or hurt when that tensioner flies apart.

Well I got the alternator moved down to where the smog pump was. I pulled the tensioner off still not sure how to make it pull the other way.

Do you have AC? If you don't, why don't you just ditch the whole passenger side bracket and create a new bracket for the alternator?

The point is to ditch the ac delete pulley on the left top and the alternator on the right top so i can mount the turbos in that area and be able to run 3" down pipes. I now have alot of room to work with just not sure how to disasemble the tensioner. After almost 3yrs of abuse and about 28k miles later the 5 speed broke last night shifting into 3rd. I guess 321rwhp and 390rwtq will do that. stay tuned this should be up and running by the end of october.

my brothers shop is doing the tensioner tommorow, thanks jester for the email. I have the headers bolted on with no problem, i had to bend the brake lines a little out of the way. I should have the turbos mounted with 3" down pipes by the end of next week. I have a digital camera and will take pics for everyone. The pipe from the header to the turbo is only going to be about 3 inches long and I'am going with a 2.25 pipe from the header to the turbo instead of 2.5. The 3" down pipe on the passenger will be cake the driver side with be a little tight but should work fine.

Are you using the S-10 headers like Jester did, or another kind? I am still debating what to use.
