Oil coming from blower snout?
I thought this was odd since I didn't PUT oil in there, and nothing says there SHOULD be oil in there, and The GEAR oil in the blower CASE is RED not black this was a little disconcerting. It seems to be coming out from the center of the nut... ? see the outside of the washer... its sort of spraying out eh?

Is it possible that the blower shaft is gundrilled (hollow)? It could be seepage past the threads of the pulley bolt if the shaft was hollow. cheers, Bob

but from where? where is this oil actually ORIGINATING from is my main question... not the blower case... thats for sure, theres 90W gear oil in there and its purple not black! there must be another place on/in the blower with this oil in / on it...

if you used any grease to press the pulley on and the grease has now collected dirt, centrifugal force and heat combine to put it there. the amount seems pretty small.
