I'm trying to add more power to my 1991 camaro RS. I currently have a 92 3.1 v6 firebird engine in the car, cuz i blew up the last engine cuz my radiator fan stopped working. I have a flowmaster exhaust and a k&n air filter. THe problem is, i want more horsepower, but i cant find any sites on adding a supercharger or a turbocharger to a v6. I lack knowledge in this area and i was wondering if it was worth even trying to do. ANy info would be appreciated. Also any info on where to get an air induction for the car would be appreciated. THank you

 

one good place to start might be reading into the 3.1 turbo that came in certain early to mid 90's pontiac grand prix's.

It was a FWD version of the engine you have, so i'm sure some modification would be necessary to get it setup for your car, but it's a start.

Also, other widely known boosted V6's are the turbo buick 3.8 that came in the buick grand national and the 89 TTA.

And another one yet is the 3800 Supercharged V6 that's been coming in different FWD pontiacs and buicks for the last 8 or 9 years.
