Lol! I thought the same thing. But the block he used, I think, is the same one top fuel dragsters use to make like 6500+ HP. So he's actually babying the block. And I don't think you can really buy 2nd rate parts to fit that block. I would like to know what crank, rods, etc, that he used for this. And how much he's got into it money wise.
Why hasn't 'Hot Rod' or 'Car Craft' done a write up on this car? This seems to be the definition of what our hobby is all about, to the nth degree!
I think I will try to get one of the editors or writers of those mags on the phone tomorrow and encourage them to cover this car. I would not be surprised if they've never even heard of it!

Update....... Car won i Las vegas SSCC2010
Silver State Classic Challenge 2010- We did very well in this year event. In the main event on Sunday, a head wind measuring an average of 35 mph (50 mph in the gust) made it not possible to aim for any records. 10 cars did not make it all the way in this years event, one smashed the car after the finishline in the brake down area of the one mile shootout. Some totally crashed in the main event, luckily no injuries because of the safety level of these cars.
At the banquet award Sunday evening, the result were released.
1st place on Friday"s halfmile,
1st place on the one mile shootout Saturday,
1st place in the Unlimited division,
1st place for highest trap speed,
1st place for highest overall average speed.
5 out of 5 was well more than we hoped for, like a dream come through for me and my team working on the car.

This resulted in an invitation to Optima Challenge (one out of 12 cars from all over US, media, full covered on one or two American tv channels), and a special invitation to SEMA in Las Vegas this November for car and team.
100 Norwegians following me and my team in this event, together with Norwegian and German television made this a really fantastic memorable trip.
