Question about now as it relates to compression ratio

I know with a supercharger or a blower you dont want to have a high compression rate to start with, my question is, Is this the same with nitrous, i am pretty sure that it isnt but i just wanted to check with people that new a little more about this? thanks

Sometimes they use a shot of nitrous on a blower motor to cool down the charge. It actually helps combat detonation. But whether on a s/c motor or not, it must be tuned properly, and given the proper fuel requirements (volume/pressure), to be safe. If not, you will surely break something. The problems occur when guys just throw on a big shot and don't bother getting extra fuel in. But to answer your question, most guys that I know run it on stock or higher compression motors.
