hey spool...

that's a pretty cool setup you got there...
If I didn't start back to school the first of the year I'd go ahead and buy what you have. I believe that may be alittle cheaper than what I can make it for. I put my last amount on a 9" rear end. That took an unexpected chunk out of me.

for now I'm still in the learning process...

Is there any other "stock factory" intercooler out therer that will allow more flow?

I'm currently have 406 with LT1 intake with pretty good heads and a Speed pro computer. I'm running around the mid 12 second range on motor.

I'm looking for an intercooler that will support about 600-650hp.
If come across a used one what should I look for???

What size tubing did your run from your headers to your turbo?

I really appreciate your last replies,
Shad Haynes

The powerstroke intercooler core flows good, it's the end tanks that suck. you could buy the intercooler, chop the tanks off and make some new ones for it and have someone weld them on for you. THat will support your HP needs. My crossover pipe is 2.5" mandrel bent tubing. Hope this helps.

hmmm...

thanks that is helpfull....

What is it in the end tanks that causes bad flow?

Also do you know of anywhere that that tells, caculates, or shows the differences in tubing size for turbos.
When I say differences I'm referring to the turbo's reaction or hp differences.
I've heard it may effect the spool up time and other things...

thanks alot dude,

THey end tanks are just WAY too small. And they make a SHARP 90 degree angle and it's just that, a true 90, there's no outside radius for the air to flow around. They're just bad all around. I'm not sure on any info you need about sizing. Sorry.
