back pressure with turbos
Hey guys.
I was wondering what the ideal exhaust size would be to connect a turbo to the rest of your exhaust system.
I know it depends on how much boost your turbo is designed to make, higher boost means more exhaust.
Can you guys give me some tips or something about size with turbo size?
Thanks:hail: :hail: :hail:

You should match it up with the inlet for the exhuast compressor size because it is not going to get any bigger then that, the turbo creats alot of back pressure by itself. You want to keep the turbo close to the heads as possible to keep it "warm" turbo do use the heat energy from the exhuast gasses to spin them and it will decrease turbo lag, but to answer your question as big as the inlet of you turbo will allow.
