Which power adder to use with new motor?

I'm having trouble deciding on how to build the next motor for the malibu in my sig. The budget is $5000. Streetability is as much of a concern as power output, but what's streetable is totally subjective. I just want to be able to drive it whenever I want. Not just when I'm taking the car out to look for races or go to a cruise spot. I hope that makes sense. Anyhow, here's the options.

Option A: Build a motor using the block that's in my car now, using a forged crank in the $500 range, good quality 6"rods in the $300-500 range, SRP 9:1 Blower pistons, hydraulic roller cam with a moderate blower grind, good pushrods, reuse the vortec heads that are on the car now, not sure which intake manifold, a modified 650 double pumper, and to top it all off, an ATI P-1SC ProCharger.

Option B: Buy a 383 crate motor. Aluminum heads, either Dart, AFR, Trickflow, or any of the other big names. A solid flat tappet cam. Most likely the Comp Magnum .525/.525 and 248 @ .050 110LSA, but I'm open to others, even a solid roller if the budget allows. Forged pistons in the $500 range, forged crank, 5.7" rods. Pretty much the Speed-O-Motive Sportsman 383 On top of that would be a 150 shot.

The blower motor would give me the option raising the boost and/or add an intercooler if I wanted more power. The nitrous motor, obviously would give me the option of a bigger notrous shot. I also know I will have to build a fuel system to support either one. I'm open to any suggestions as long as it follows either of the two themes. I'm looking for your opinions on what you would rather have, and why. Thank you in advance for your help.

I personally like option #1. You already have the block, which removes any chance of buying a damaged block.
It's probably the cheaper way, anyways. This way you will have more money for your crank (probably going to be more than $500), and forged pistons.

Although, I'm not sure if I'd go through the trouble of making a carb blow-through, or getting a bonnet for it.
If you went the all-forged route, I'd recommend getting a Big Shot plate system (cheaper than a fogger), and spraying the limit. Of course, nice thing is; the button turns off, and you have a relatively streetable car.

FWIW, I've heard bad things about Speed-o-Motive's crate motors. I've also heard people swear that they are the best for the buck, but the horror stories are bad. Try a search on the Aftermarket Vendor (maybe Product) board for Speed-o-Motive.

BTW:

Money is chips, movies is flicks,
Also, cribs is homes, jacks is pay phones,
Cocaine is nose candy, cigarettes is bones. Onh!

I definitely have to look into speed-o-motive before hand. Their sportsman crate motor is pretty much what I'm looking for but I'm not partial to speed-0-motive in any way. It's just that I hear a different horror story about every local speed shop too. I'd much rather go local so if something happens I don't have to ship the motor cross country.

BTW,a radio is a box, a razor blade is an ox,
phat daimonds is rocks, and jakes is cops
if you got rubbed, you got stuffed,
you got killed, you got bucked,
if you got double crossed, you got....
