on a v8 motor carb, if u where to use a v6 air cleaner compartment would it be better? because is the air would be some what more comprest and foced into to carb. i might be why off here but no harm in askin.

 

Well, I can see what you are thinking about downsizing the diameter and increasing the air velocity, like in the venturi of a carb... But I think that the reduction in size would be more of a restriction to airflow. Besides, it is not forced induction at all. There is no means of boost just by decreasing the diameter of the inlet.

Any other ideas guys?
