Supercharger on High miles engine

My 350TPI has 155K but runs very well. It has 45psi oil at idle, and recently passed the dyno emmisions test with no cats. I have a Paxton set-up to go onto the car. Do you think it will last at all with 6 psi? Also does anybody have experience with the paxton alcohol injection system? Thanks and any advice is appreciated.-Mike

you will be fine I doubt you'll need alcohol inj for 6# as long as there is some sort of FMU of sorts.

Do a compression test too. If you take good care of the engine (sounds like you have) they can last a long long time. If the compression test checks out (all within 10 of eachother), and it dosnt have any other problems or weirdness, then I say go for it.

My 91z had a Vortech S-Trim (V1) installed at 75k miles (previous owner) boosting 6psi. Its at 113k miles now and still running strong (a little smoke on startup sometimes). I only use Mobil-1 15w-50 synthetic oil (red cap), changed every 2500 miles. I also have the Vortech FMU and the MSD 6AL w/ boost retard and knock sensor. I think the MSD stuff is a life saver, high miles or not. I definately recommend that as a safe guard against detonation.

I'm going to try and find a msd btm, what retard do you run? Also where can I buy a pulley for 6psi instead of the 9? The car ran a 14.4 approx. so I'm hoping after the paxton and headers to get to 13.4.
