Ordered NX kit today.

What is the best way to get used to the jets? Start at 75 for a few run, then up to 100, and finaly on to the 150's? Going after one of the fastest 305 spots. Tracks open April 5th will see what happens.

Sounds cool!

Your sig mentions nothing about your pistons...I hope you aren't throwing a 150 shot at stock pistons. Well some people have been able to do it. You have more guts than i do if that is the case.

Yeah... i started by playing with 75 shot, especially if you ever use it on the street. Then work up to 100. Its very risky running 150 shots on a 305 with stock internals! NX only recommend up to 100.

Ive got a wicked Excel sheet that you put your fuel and N2O pressure and it tells you the jet sizes for each HP shot.

I don't have the NX kit, I have the NOS kit, and I would have to agree 100HP on a stock engine. My NOS kit came with the 150HP jets also and it recommended it only for use on a 5.7L, but I'm still not going to put them in, runs just fine with 100HP.

I just checked out that spreadsheet...

Word of warning, those are NOS type jettings.. The NX ones are different.

I run a 62/35 for a 150 shot on my NX kit. (reccommended is 62/38, but it's too rich for my app.)

If you run those jettings on an NX kit, you'll be making a lot more power than you think.

Why will a 5.7 handle a 150 shot and not a 5.0? They are the same motor short of the bore size correct? Any one have any instight on this?

CHP put a 150 shot on a stock LG4 block, no problems. Just make sure you have enough spark and retard the timing.
