Turbo in the hatch?
Turbo in the hatch?
I'm sure this is completly invalid and I wasent going to post it but I am jsut curious to see if it has actually been done.
Would it be possible to route your exaust sorta up into the hatch well area and then put a turbo in there? That way you wouldent have to fabricate custom headers or anything.
I mean ive seen pics of dual exaust setups on thirdgens, so why not just have one of those pipes directing air back to the engine?
So has it been done? Would it not work? Seems like a whole lot of pipe to pressurize. And if it would work would it be any cheaper than custom headers.

it wouldn't work well.
turbos run off of exhaust energy found in your engines exhaust. this heat energy is dependent on the temperature of your exhaust.
what this means is that if you were to put the turbo in the hatch, the exhaust would have cooled significantly therefore not as much energy.
nice try tho.
