stop me from buying nitrous?

Alright I just came into some money. Not very much. But enough to afford a nitrous oxide systems sniper setup.

The motor I am building using a stock short block.I am running and electric fuel pump and a AFPR.So I could get the fuel system to match the nitrous system. If I didn't get carried away and used the nitrous alot.Could the stock short block withstand a 100 shot?Maybe even 150?

I am new nitrous.I have a good understanding of how it works. But I would like some info from some people that have used it.

I'll dial the number for you. Start with a 100 shot, it's not going to hurt the bottom end unless you rev it sky high. It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be unless you get greedy with the cheap power. Make sure it doesn't go lean. Only did a few bottles and decided I wanted more power all the time instead of short bursts. HP = addictive.

I've put about 25 lbs. of nitrous through my car at the 150 hp level. So far, with no tuning, it pushed my trap speed up 12 MPH on a stock head/bottom end motor. Eventually, what I plan to do is build a N/A motor that is on the ragged edge for pump gas (500-550 hp 396) and take out most challengers that way. However, if I switch to race gas and turn the *** back on my timing controller, I'll be able to utillize a 250 hp hit from a nitrous system. Maybe I'm dreaming, but this setup sounds ideal to me.
