More TT questions
First I have to say that I have been lurkin around for a couple of months now and am seirously thinking about a JY tt set up for my car. Alot of you guys have done similar setups to what I am thinking about but there a few diffrences to what I want to do. First thing is that I want to do it to a 305 and it is gonna be pretty mild. I'm not looking for a speed demon just somethng that will suprise a few ppl. Mabey high 12s (350-400 ish horses) now on th the real questions.
Would 45 trim t25s be large enough for a twin setup on a 305? The turbos I am looking at are from late model DSMs. I bieleve they are .45/.48 (compressor/exhaust). These turbos are a dime a dozen and would be really cheap to obtain.

The T25's are an Ok turbo. I have one in my TSi... well, the 16G is on its' way. It is a little undersized in a DSM though, the boost starts to fall off pretty bad in the higher gears.
If you did pt them in you would have no top end. With the larger displacement and poor top end charactoristics you are not looking at a good combination.
Stick with the tried and true turbocoupe turbos and turn the boost down. You are better off running on the low side of the efficiency curve on a turbo.
