What shot of N20??

I was just seeing what people would recomend for a safe amount of N20 on my new engine. Here are the specs. I was thinking a 200hp shot at the track 150hp on the street.

thanks

Josh

TRW Forged pisons
Polished Stock Rods
New Crank
ARP Wave-Loc Bolts
Balanced Rotating Assembly

Thanks

Josh

i wouldn't mind knowing that myself... i am gonna run TRW pistons in my 355 w/ LT1 PM rods, and a cast crank... and probably the wave lock rod bolts...

LoL... if i can get the motor in the car here before too long i will... i don't see why you couldn't run a 150 shot by any means... some are running that on cast pistons no prob... just gotta gap your rings right for the nitrous...

sorta off the topic but. ..

would a 75hp shot every once in a while be fine on a stock engine?

or should i upgrade something else?
i've got decent plugs and just put in a new fuel filter, assuming my stock fuel pump is still good with only 45K on it.

thanks.

I think the answer to your question is pretty simple. If you dont get greedy, I would say you should be able to run a 75 shot for quite some time on a stock motor. I would however suggest your motor be in good running condition and not have an excessive amount of miles. My stock 163k shortblock didnt do so bad. I've run a lot of N20 through it, but like all good things came to an aburpt halt during an NA run at the track...Broke Block Admittedly my power level was a bit different and my compression ratio was higher. So take that into account as well. Anyways hope that helps some.

yes that does answer my question, thanks.

my gta has only 46K miles and runs great. i won't feel the need for greed and can live with just a 55-75 boost once in a while when needed.

hell, spray a 200 on it, if its not going to break your heart if it goes, dont worry.

if you cant afford another motor, just leave a 150 shot on it, and spray til your hearts content.

i say pill it til ya kill it.

Ive ran 20 bottles worth of 150 shots through my stock short block at 150k it dosent burn a drop of oil and runs great make shure that your ignition is in good shape and use the right heat range plugs (not platnium) I use ngk ur4s they seem to work good and they are about a 1.20 a peice

well i'd be using a dry kit from zex, so i don't think i'll be going more than 75.

the car/motor only have 45K, it would be a waste to kill it b4 it is ready to go with too much boost.

my ignition system has new msd wires, cap, coil, rotor and 6AL. plugs are basic NGK ones. so hopefully i'm set!

i'll probably do it this summer after a few more mods. (exhaust, ram air, headers).

any idea what all this might get me at the track, 14 flat? 13.9?
