Have just hooked up my Nitrous MasterMind, and now my car won't start. I am running the GM Heavy Duty ignition and distributor which is just a MSD 6A and magnetic pick-up distributor. Anyone else have a similar style set up? I have no spark or tack indication when the MasterMind is hooked up. I am hooked up as per figure 22 of the MasterMind instuctions, which is MSD ignition, NMM, hook up with magnetic pick up distributor.

The JNMM is fairly fool proof. As long as you connect all the wiring correctly they tend to work and I’ve never heard of one failing. The hassle is getting all the wiring connected without loosing track somewhere or building a rat’s nest.

It’s only got one connection where it intercepts the ignition trigger signal, if you can’t find any wiring mistakes I’d start with disconnecting there and reconnecting the wire that you cut and see if it runs. If reconnecting that one wire makes it run then I’d give the rest of the JNMM a harder look, if not then something else is messed up that’s keeping you from running.

 

i'm using a mag. pick up dist. so the 2 wires from the dist. go to the orange and purple wires to the NMM andf the yellow goes to the white in to the ign. box . jacobs said to send it back to exchange it so its on its way now
