another nos ????

ok i just bought a NX hitman kit for my carbed sb400 and the instructions are not real clear on where to retard my timing from do i do it from TDC or from whee the car makes most power? im shooting to drop the most off my quarter times that i can without blowing it up any input would be appreciated

drop 2* for every 50hp... if your running 38* total rite now and want to run a 100 shot, take 4* out, so it would be 34* total when using the nitrous

Yes definitely, I agree. close examination of the NX instructions will reveal some tripe about superior mixture and not requiring timing retard but dont believe it. you should definitely retard your timing until you know
  • how your engine will respond
  • more about how nitrous causes detonation or your engines threshold
  • what kind of fuel quality you are going to be able to get away with
