FMU and inline pump or intank 22lph Which should i do ?

Okay here's the scoop,

Should i do option one or option two which it most cost effective/efficent/less likely to make my hair fall out ?

Option 1 use the procharger inline pump and the fmu to control my D1SC (old kit which requires me to cut the fuel lines and use hose clamps)

Option 2 get a 22lph in tank pump and get a custom burned chip from ed wright (note i will not be doing ANY tuning of my own since i dont know how nor do i have the equipment/time for it)

Which option is going to be the better idea, im not opposed to buying a 120 $ pump, and the chip i had planned to buy anyway, will i run into problems with either option ? What do you guys think ? Will ed be able to burn the chip to make the application better, or will bypassing the ECM be the better route with the FMU ? Thanks thats it im out..

i went with the racetronix kit and no inline pump.30 lb injecters(fms) and no fmu then ajusted fueling in the prom right now looking at the 749 swap so the ecm sees boost better.my racetronix kit is modified to have two pumps in the tank and if pressure drops the second pump activates.i have a light in my car that shows if pump two is running and so far it only has come on when first pressurizeing the system never when driving so it seems that one gss340m would have been fine.but i only run 6psi boost.

either option is going to require some prom tuning, the FMU does not take place of the ECM,

Option 1 is the easiest way to go, ( if you have ever replaced your in-tank pump, you'll know that it is a PITA.)

Option 2 would be a better way, but not only will you need the 255lph pump and custom chip, but you will also need larger injectors or run the FMU.

Actually, I am running the 255 lph Racetronix pump. I bought it so I would not have to add the ATI inline pump.

Then I was TOLD by ATI and my custom prom programmer to go with the ATI inline pump as well. Prom programmer did a previous blown car and it had the 255 lph Walbro intank pump. It could not supply enough fuel during WOT.

So I am running the 255 lph pump w/ wiring harness, ATI inline pump, 31# injectors, ATI FMU and custom chip.

I have a REAL A/F ratio gauge. It shows 14 during normal driving conditions and 11 at WOT.

Alvin at www.pcmforless.com did my chip.

The inline pump install is not bad. You will only need to cut one metal line under the car by the fuel filter. Flare the end and clamp the new rubber hose to it.
