Thoughts on First runs with NX kit.

Well I finaily Worked all the N/A bugs out of the car today and went and had my bottle filled, I didnt fill it before due to the temptation. After I got home with my full bottle, I finished my install and presureized the system. On the Nitrous side I had no leaks, but I did have a small leak around the fuel presure safety switch, easy fix. Next I installed the 50 hp jets and headed out to my favorite straight country road without driveways to test the system. The first run I switched the system on after the 1-2 shift and really couldn't feel any difference. The second run I stopped the car armed the system and luanched at 1500 rpms like I would at the strip, all I noted was just a little more tire spin. Well after this I was a little disapointed in spending $800 and after all the hipe. So I took my butt back home and installed the 100 hp jets and when back to my country road. First run with the 100 hp jets was after the 1-2 shift and man what a difference, the butt dyno went nutts. The second run I stopped the car and luanch as above and man o'man, my tires spun like they had never before, I tried to feather out of the spin but was unable to do so, I had to get off the gas to get the tires to stop spinning. I was as happy as a clam. i didnt install the 150 hp jets like I will for the track becuase I have 3/4 of a tank of 91 octane and will need the 103 at the track to run the 150, along with the digital 6+ pulling 4* of spark.
Just so you know I'm running the Nitrous Express GM EFI kit P/N 20920 with the Gen X-2 upgrade. Anyone looking to add nitrous to your horse power combo just make sure you search this board becuase all the info you need is here, make sure your motor is in tune N/A prior to running the bottle at all, and lastly take your time and you will not be sorry. I will have new times N/A, 100hp, and 150hp from Byron Dragway on monday 5/26/03. I hope to learn alot from this small kit on my 305, becuase I will never build a motor that is not meant for nitrous, one day I will be runing a 2 stage 300 hp direct port system (not on the 305 by the way). If you have any question feel free, I'll do the best I can to answer them.
