Need Help for building procharged motor!

I am getting ready to build a motor for my 89' iroc and need some help. I just purchased a procharger D1SC. I am planning on running about 15#'s of boost. I plan on using AFR 190 heads, 55# injectors, 1000cfm throttle body. I need to know what components to use to have a reliable bottom end? What compression? What intake? what cam? 355 or 383 stroker? any info you have would be great. Email me at TMCCLEARY5@mchsi.com if you don't want to leave a long reply on here or if it's easier for ya. Thanks alot!!!

Parts selection depends on what your goal is. How many ponies are you planning on stuffing under your hood?

You might want to talk to a reputable engine builder in your area. From your inital post, it seems as if you're unfamilliar to many of the considerations of building a motor - especially cost. The parts you listed, including supercharger will land you roughly 5K in the hole, and you didnt even mention crank, rods, pistons, machining, block prep, valvetrain or even intake. You need to set a budget for how much you plant to spend and then choose your parts according to that budget, else you end up with a carried away project that never gets finished - I know a few people like this. Good luck.

Yeah, Im aware of the cost of all of this stuff. I've done plenty of research on it. I know just the short block alone will set me back about 5K, supercharger 4k, heads 1500, etc... The money part is not the issue for me i just need to know what has worked and what hasnt worked for everyone. thanks

Willie is in the 11's ( in theory ) on 12lbs with a 305. A 355 or 383 with 15#'s could put you well into the 10's, if not 9's. Planning planning planning, money money money.
