Bang For Buck Additions

I'm just wondering what gives the biggest boost for the cheapest price. I have an 83 TA I now have to fix up pronto and I don't want to be under 200HP for long. I just lost my 2-door 02 Grand Prix with the 40th anniversary package to a 5-car accident. Pissed? Oh yeah, that thing was one of SEVEN in the state that was 2-door with the 40th package.

Anyway, post what you've done for the best boost per dollar. I'm interested to know. From what I've read it's a cat-back exhaust. I don't know much about those or brands. Just a noob /

Thanks!

NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS
you could run a 100shot on a stock buttom end.
headers will give you a pretty good bang for your buck 20/40hp?

the biggest bang for my buck was a 400+hp 383/superram combo so far it's costing me 4000 for the long block useing a complete forged buttom end.

NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS  as you put it would be killing my engine for normal driving. This isnt for 1/4 mile speeds, more an average drive around upgrade. Just to make me kick everyone with a non-supercharged bonny and lower.... thanks for that suggestion - i'll throw it on the backboard for when the engine gets 40,000 miles on it (it only has 4k on it now).

He's right about it you know.
NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS  doesn't do a thing to the engine while crusing around until you want it to. there are expensive power mods that make power, there are cheap power mods that make very little power, even some expensive mods that make very little power, but there is a cheap power mod that makes enough power, and NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS is it. otherwise I suggest a Holley Stealth Ram, they can inform you about them in TPI forum. As far as power adders nothing else is cheap. unless 2 or 3 grand is cheap to you , I guess its all relative. Besides as far as NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS hurting your motor its like a gun. NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS doesnt kill engines, people that misuse it kill engines. wrong octane, wrong timing wrong jetting, wrong fuel system are among the chief ways to kill your ride with or without NNAAAAAAWWWWSSSSS, but definitely with...

before anything else, best bang for the buck mod will always be a good tuneup.
