fuel feed line for gas solenoid on TBI nitrous

I tried this post on the TBI page but got no response. Maybe someone will know on this page. Could someone who has done a nitrous installation on a TBI motor tell me where you get the fuel feed from?? I know the TPI motor has a schrader valve in the line but I don't think TBI does. Do you have to splice into the steel fuel supply lines??Thanks for the help..................bob

You can either splice in to the lines and run a T or on the drivers side where the rubber lines screw to the metal ones you can buy a T that screws in between.

Well.............

Most high pressure fuel injection vehicles I've worked on (TPI, TBI,MPFI) include a pressure test port to verify fuel pressure. Some of the OEM equipped TBIs have a test port close to the FPR, look its pobably just hidden.

If not...............

If not a T is the best way to go unless you intend on a high output system which usually requires a dedicated fuel system. Make sure the fuel system can deliver the appropriate amount of fuel without over-taxing the pump. Always check fuel pressure while under load at WOT with a fuel pressure gauge. If there's any sign that it can't, add a booster pump inline before the fuel filter. Run lean motor fries, run rich motor dies, run right motor flies. Later!

Thanks very much guys. I haven't looked underneath the car for a pressure test port so will try that first. The T-adapter inbetween the steel and flexible lines is a hell of a good idea!!!
I got a new high pressure fuel pump so I should be good in that area. I am just looking for 75 to 100 hp . Thanks again.................bob

I have never seen a GM TBI setup with a pressure test port/shrader valve. GM used to sell an adaptor to attach a gauge that connected between the fuel line and TB just for these setups.

So basically, you’re stuck cutting into the stock lines somewhere.

As far as the N2O setup, be aware that the TBI is designed to run at 8-12psi fuel pressure, most N2O setups are jetted fore either carb (3-7psi) or normal efi (~43psi) pressures, so you’ll have to find the correct jetting for the fuel pressure you’re running or a modified feed to supply fuel at a known pressure.

Both NOS and NX both make tbi specific nitrous kits.
