Turbo action on a 2.8

Hey everyone, Hows it going? Not too bad myself. Just recently purchased an 82 Camaro and was thinking about some stuff. First off...not long ago I was thinking to myself about adding some sort of forced induction to my v6 ..... supercharging just seems rediculous and too spendy and blowers ....er ..whatever were just out of the question...but then the thought of turbo-ing it came to me and I thought I'd give it some more research.. I had known about this website for a while..but never really paid much attention to the message boards... and then I found a bunch of stuff on people turbo-ing their rides. My question is...what exactly would be practicle for me to do to my car? I dont really want to put a V8 in it...due to fear of horrid gasmileage...not that I don't like them... cuz we all know there's no replacement for displacement...but... I wanted to keep the orriginal motor in ..and just make as big of a monster out of it as possible.. So... since I plan to rebuild it cuz she's got a bit of use on her....what all performance stuff can I get for my 2.8? I haven't had alot of luck in finding much..so anything that can help me will be greatly appreciated. Is there any way for me to find another intake or am I stuck with stock? How much pressure is too much pressure for a rebuilt motor without going to far into reinforcing the internals? Or should I just splurge and go all out? I was also wondering about manual transmitions...what would work ..etc... I'm sure more will come to me as the days pass..but anything anybody has to say will be appreciated.. take it easy.. I'm out.. _---------- Nick

it takes fuel to make horsepower.
dude, pardon me for thinking this, but i have the feeling you would have to read the directions to rotate your tires, i would NOT recommend turbocharging your car.
