Nitrous Solenoid Smoking !!!!!!

Well I wired everything up correctly pretty damn sure, anywayz the fuel solenoid clicks and stuff so I know that one works, when I was turning my car on i started smelling something like burning so I take a look at my engine bay and my nitrous solenoid was smoking. Tap it out with a rag. Take the fuel noid and test it , one wire grounded the other tapping the possitive on the battery, clickedy click, should be good 2 go, try the nitrous one (the smoking one) and it doesnt make any sound just a nice lil spark at the battery, any ideas guys would be greatly appriciated. Theyre both wired the exact same way so I odnno what the problem is, flip flopped the 2 wires around maybe I had the wrong power one and the wrong ground one but still no cigar. Help plz :hail:

A weak or thin spot or some sort of impact (even a light one) has disturbed the light coating of varnish. This coating of varnish is used to insulate the many looped coils of wire used in the coilfrom each other. The looped coils of wire used in the coil is the electromgnetic portion of the selenoid. The result is a "short" internally. The reduced path has reduced the amount of resistance by creating a shortcut. The coils that are left in the circuit as well as the point where the short is actually made inside the selenoid coil is basically burning. A solution is to get a new "coil part" from the nitrous company they were made by. This is usually offered separately. hope this helped.
