sn-89 paxton intercooler?

Hi, I'm planning on making a few changes to my 383 while I have it apart. I found a complete paxton sn-89 unit, rebuilt, that I pciked up. According to the boost compression chart, I can run with either 6 psi or non-intercooled boost or 12-15 psi of intercooled boost at my target compression of 9.5:1. Compression was 10.75:1. Since I want to use my supercharger, and make it push some juice, the question is this...where should I go for an intercooler? I can fab things up...I just need to know if an intercooler is an option for me, and if so, where to look for more info. Thanks!

I also have to have some custom pistons made now, which is also why I need to know about the intercooler issue...I wouldn't trust HT383 PM rods and hyperutectic pistons to forgings under boost too much...also need to get some 30# injectors and upgrade to an MSD6 BTM

dont bother. to get that much boost out of an sn89 is asking for trouble. Run it non-intercooled @6psi. By the way, you may or may not see 6 psi. On a built 383 I would imagine the blower would boost at 4#s

SN 89

I'm running a SN 89 on my 383 with great results. Max PSI with intercooler is 8. What's nice about this SC is you can buy a heat exchanger kit to keep the SC run cool. The SC can take a little more if the oil stays cool. Paradise Wheels will sale you an upgraded fan for $150.00 so it can handle more CFM for the 383. Don't forget to open up the intake, install bigger runners, good Hyd Lift SC Cam and a pair of good flowing heads with headers.
