What would be the ideal nitrous kit to use with vortec heads and intake manifold? Does it matter what type of carb I have also if Im running a seperate fuel system specifically for the nitrous?
Thanks

The nitrous express hitman kit is an awesome kit for the money. The carb you are running will stipulate what type of spray bar you will need, not the cylinder heads or intake you are running (in most cases
).

A nitrous kit. Any of 'em they are completely identical no matter what heads or intake you be it ford chevy or mopar. Carb kits are carb kits it is as simple as that.

Well if you already have the Vortecs then the intake you want will be the Edelbrock Victor series single plain manifold. You also might want to run a fairly healthy cam to keep that motor strong while running NA. If you do run N2O you might want to consider some serious work on the exhaust ports: bowl work, porting, maybe even an uprade to larger valve, 1.55". The Vortec is a fine head but suffers on E/I ratio. However overcoming that weakpoint can be accomplished fairly easy.
Oversize valves? Why? A buddy of mine talked me into trying my hand at porting on a set of them this summer for his blown full size dually… asked me to focus on the exhaust. I played with them a little bit, cleaned up the intakes, cleaned up the chambers and worked the exhaust a little, and got the exhaust ports to top out at 220cfm at .550” lift, about 92% of the intake (239cfm @ .550”). they turned out to be killer power adder heads.
So why single plane? Use what’s best for the engine…
