to get a good run with Nitrous
you wait until AFTER you get off the line to hit the button
so i know in a probe you wait till about half way through 1st and you hit it then you hit it again in 2nd or 3rd if you want
but they do make system that when you floor your car it adds nitrous to the mixture so that could be a possibility for you

I have a freind that lives in chicago with 68 camaro w/377 sbc on a 400 shot that cant hook right unless he sprays it directly out of the hole he has wrinkle walls and they "crackle" when he sprays it.
off the bottle he spins because there not a "shock" to the tires.
I guess it all depends on your suspensoin and what kinda rubber your on.

so no wone running a good motor with big boost is willing to share there setup. is that due to the fact that they boot you of the track after one run.

12.45 on a 100 shot. Depending on the track she would hook the 551rwtq out of the hole. But it had to be preped real well. That was on DR's so it would've dead hooked all the time on slicks, and probably would've went 12.0 but that was the old motor.
It depends on your suspension. That's what will determine if you're going to hook or not.

Torque has almost nothing to do with how fast a car will run, just what combination of driveline parts it will take to run the fastest. Almost all sprayed cars will throw up insane torque spikes then the N2O is turned on, which is not really useful at the track since most people don't hook there and if they do it just makes for a more violent ride which is more likely to break parts. The reason being that you're adding almost exactly x hp worth of air/fuel when you flip it on, so with a 150hp shot that you turn on at 2800rpm that's a 281lb-ft torque spike… The second reason is that suddenly applying 2-300lb-ft of torque always spins the tires on the rollers and they have to accelerate faster to catch up and stop spinning once that happens then the tires are really accelerating, causing a spike in the curves at that point.

I think though your tires are not sticky enough. With that mph I'd be looking to be in the 9.4-9.5 range. What kind of 60ft?Steve
