What kind of power should this have?
I'm picking up a 350 TPI engine soon and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. The engine was just rebuilt, in fact, it's still at the engine shop now. The block and heads are both from a '92 Trans Am. Here's what's been done to it:
8.0-8.5 comp. forged pistons (.030 over)
Pete Jackson gear drive
Comp cam .462 lift
Crane 1.7 roller tip rockers
Accel SuperRam
Vortech S-trim supercharger w/aftermarket pulley approx. 10-12 lbs boost
MSD boost retard
I'm trying to figure out what to do with this engine and don't really know how much power to expect. I was thinking in the 450 to 475 horse range. What do you think?

Why 1.7's why not just get a diff cam to make up for having to worry about valvetrain geometry.
and I think the bigest limiting factor would be the stock heads.

Yeah, I'm sure the stock heads are going to be the weak point. I didn't have the engine built so I'm not quite sure why he went with the 1.7 rockers but I guess he just wanted a little extra lift.

my suggestion is to weigh each of your TPI equiped rides and put it in the lightest one

Actually, I'm leaning toward just putting it on eBay right away and see what it sells for. I'd like to keep it and put it in something down the road but I really don't have the space to keep it around for too long. However, if I had a little better idea of what kind of power to expect I may decide to keep it.

I guess I was thinking more along the fact that GM used them on the "original" crate motor.
