k... on a 406 engine... with about 8-9 compression... making somewhere around 500-550 hp. how much more power would you get by putting a blower on it?

i was watching horsepower tv today.. they took a 440 hp engine, put a blower from blowershop on it, and got 711 hp. simple bolt on. mopar engine tho(duno if makes diff). that was at 5psi boost too...i...think..


so.. woudl you get about a 250 jump w/ the 406 too?.. that would make about... 800 something hp if i'm correct.

is this possible, or would you just blow the engine?

i'm not wanting to put blower on 406 i wanna make, i'm just wondering how much you'd get from it.... blowers are too expensive, and i dun think they are worth it.... they are sexy & make good power... but.. the pros & cons are just too much on the con side for me.

That would have taken around 10lbs of boost. I saw the show. They made a big deal that it was on pump gas NA but never said anything about amount of boost or fuel afterward. I picked up 135RWHP with 9lbs of intrcooled boost on my 355

 

I picked up 425rwhp with 19psi on my 355.

 

19 psi, holy shiz.... innercooler or no?

 

Huh... what was your power before and after the blower? did you run an intercooler?
