Why are the ProCharger Stage II D-1SC and D-1 both illegal to be used in the state of cali. I really wanna get the D-1SC, but what makes it illegal then the ProCharger HO P-1SC. Will I pass smog with that kit? Thanx

i dont see why that would be a problem though. i would think there F series ones would be maybe since they are like full out racing ones.

with tuning i am pretty sure you should pass. maybe someone else can chime in.

The supercharger shouldn't really change emissions. I'd give ATI a call as to why its illegal, they should be able to give you the answer.

 

it's illegal because they didn't apply for a CARB EO number for it. Without the number you have nothing to show that it is leagal when you go in to get tested.

Yes, it could be made to pass the emissions test, but not the visual test...
