What can i give this 327

I have a 327 with billet crank, lt1 pink rods, and speed-pro forged .40 pistons. and a 4 bolt 350 block. i plan on running my vortec heads stock mill witch will give me a cr of 10.5:1. i know you should run a low cr for forced induction, but is 10.5:1 low enough for a turbo or should i use nitrous.

keep boost under 10 psi, have a very efficient intercooler, and water injection and you should be ok... also make sure you have a very good tune

yeah i dont want to keep it under 10 psi, i have read billet cranks are the best you can get, if it comes to replacing the pistons it wont bother me much, i got the shortblock, unused still in bags and boxes, for free. I would like to make 550 hp to the flexplate

i like boost but in your case nitrous would be better. You have a bit too much c.r. for boost on pump gas

Water injection is sort of like a temporary fix in my opinion.

10.5 plus any boost even with an intercooler will probably not run on pump gas. I could maybe see it if it were low as in 6-8psi and tuned accordingly.

Nitrous will save you some money and make the power you want.

I vote nitrous!
