Superchargeing 305 H.O

Ok i have a 84 Z28 with the stock 305 H.O L69 i want to put a roots type blower on it for the power and the wow factor i know most of you are going to start rambeling on about just get a 350 well i dont want one just yet. Well on to the question i think the CP ratio is 9.5.1 well with that said i think i will only be able to run
5 pounds of boots safely if i set the timeing right.I need to know how much boost will i acctually be able to put in it with out haveing my 305 blown in half thanks:lala:

With that kind of compression you will be ok with no more than 6psi, total of 28 degress of total timing, and a fat tune.
