v6 turbo headers

now this might sound a little bit dumb, but is it possible just take the v6 headers and turn then upside down? would they match up?

Good timing I was about to ask this question. Anyone who knows please reply! If it won't fit what are the issues keeping it from fitting right.....Thanks!

They're not perfectly symmetrical and cannot be flipped.. you can put the passenger side manifold on the driver side head and vice versa, but they'll point down and forward rather than the up and forward you appear to be seeking. On the bright side, the 60 degree v6 has MASSIVE amounts of engine bay space for fabricating custom manifolds

That was the first thing I noticed when I popped the hood on this car. I am use to working with hondas and having no space. I was actually tempted to hop in the engine bay, just because I could!

Both heads are the exact same part. Identical castings, identical part number, identical features, same bolt positions, everything.. the difference is one is rotated 180 degrees to put it on the other side of the block. For that reason alone you can take the manifold from one side, rotate it 180 degrees, and put it on the other side. There is no way to flip it over like the small block guys, though. Their heads are symmetrical. The bolts and exhaust ports are evenly spaced... the V6 manifold bolt locations and exhaust ports are not evenly spaced. If you flipped it over, the middle port wouldn't align. Like trying to fit a square in a triangle while playing perfection. You don't even want to reuse these manifolds in a turbo setup anyway.. they're crap. Why did I reuse mine? Because a friend decided to hijack my project and do a bunch of work for me for free using a bunch of parts (like the manifold) I had no intention of reusing later... he couldn't ruin the part in my mind, so I let him have at it. Did it work? Yes. Is it efficient? Not in the least.

Hacking up the stock manifold is not the best way to go..........but if your on a budget then eh why not?
