Bleeder screw on FMU?

I just purchased a Vortech FMU for my Paxton supercharged 92 Z28, I am a little confused about the bleeder screw on it. Could someone please explain it's function and how it affects the ratio of fuel. Thanks for any help.

the more you open up the bleeder valve... you allow less boost to the FMU...so it should'nt raise the fuel pressure as much...causing a leaner condition.
