Heads or nitrous?
I have a 355 stock bottem end with cast .100 dome pistons all balanced.
Right now it has 882 heads
and a 465/488 cam.
I know the stock bottom end can only handle so much and my goal is about 450 horsepower,i think im really close to 300 now,Would i be better off with a 150 shot of nitrous or some afr heads?I have about 1500 to spend but thats all. I could upgrade heads but could'nt go roller but i could go nitrous and roller but then i would still have 882s and my pop up pistons need 72-76cc heads to avoid detonation
im shure some one knows what would get me the most bang (450hp worth?

Other stuff.....edelbrock 600cfm(well tuned
) Hei with msd chip,wiend dual plane intake,hedman headers,no cat flowmaster out the back.home made ram air.t-5 tranny.3.27 gears.

My $.02, if you’ve only got $1500 to spend spend it upgrading the T5, since with either of the other 2 you’ll probably end up hosing the T5 anyway. WRT to the choices you list, I’d pull the heads, port them and get a bare bones N2O setup for $1500, but ultimately it depends on where you want to end up. Ported 882’s in a 355 with the right cam will make 450hp.
